I finally received Internet after almost 2 weeks without it! I was about to go crazy.

I'm becoming extremely proud of my shoe collection. This week I bought 2 pairs that I am in love with. One pair is Vivienne Westwood for Melissa that were originally $140 which I proudly purchased for $20. $20 for Vivienne Westwood shoes, I couldn't say no. They are made from recycled plastic and are surprisingly extremely comfortable. The second pair I bought as everyday walking shoes because I walk a mile or two every day just to get where I need to be. I refuse to wear sneakers or any other hideous shoe. I found these asymmetrical mary janes with a 2 inch heel. They are perfect. Sometime during spring break I'm going to go through my shoes and get rid of the ones I never wear anymore.

My new everyday shoes.

I've been tracking my purchases this month to see where all my money goes. Hopefully at the end of the month I'll be able to cut out a lot of spending that I don't really need. I plan on not buying anymore shoes till at least May or June. Maybe even later.

I made polenta last night. It has become one of my new favorite things to make for dinner. Tonight I think I'm going to make Gnocchi. I haven't figured out what sauce I'll use with them yet. I have stuff in my house to make both tomato and pesto. One day I'm also going to learn how to make madeleines. My mom has a tray for them that she's going to give me. For some odd reason, I love cooking these days.

I have so much work to do and no motivation. I've been putting aside laundry for about 2 weeks now. I'll try and get to it tonight.

I know I have more to write about but I just can't remember anything.

I buy the tube of polenta because i don't have the patience to make it from scratch. I usually just slice it up and then with very little oil i pan fry it till it gets lightly brown and then add whatever to it. last night i put some marinara sauce on it and shredded parmesan. another time i used steamed veggies which was really good. i usually just put whatever i have on top of it and so far, it's worked out.

what do you do?

i buy it in bulk at work cuz its super cheap, and i just cook it in a sauce pan with water until its really thick like hot cereal consistency. then, i usually add shredded cheese...broccoli...whatever i have, really. sometimes sausage. you could add tofu or something. really simple. its really, really easy to make if you can find it in bulk and just heat it up on the stove with water.
