Those two pictures are from my adventure downtown when Ryan, Aaron and Leah were here. The first is of us in the Bean and the second is of the most amazing statue I have ever seen. It's a traveling statue of American Gothic (obviously), but it is so ginormous. I'm only as tall as the suitcase!!! I made them venture with me down Michigan Ave so I could get documentation of it before it goes away. I'll probably go downtown at night sometime to get some awesome night shots of it. I don't know why I love it so much. I was never a huge fan of the painting. I just find this statue so fascinating. Here's a better picture that I "borrowed" off someones flickr.

I'm working on a book of all of my favorite pieces of art I have seen recently. I want my coffee table book to be personal.

I must have mentioned this earlier, but I really enjoy cooking these days. Tonight I made pasta with garlic, onion, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms and pesto, a delicious salad with homemade dijon vinaigrette and apple cinnamon muffins for breakfast later this week. Friday I think I'm going to make roasted garlic asparagus, fried tofu and some sort of soup. It will probably be miso because I have a lot of tofu I need to use up.

I really need to get a crock-pot. I think that will be the next thing I buy. I found a cookbook on 200+ vegetarian crock-pot recipes. It's perfect for my lifestyle since I'm rarely home during the day and am usually too tired to cook when I get home.

Today in class we were talking about bioethics and now I'm really curious to read more about it. Most of the class time was spent talking about wrongful births which was really interesting. It was mainly about this NPR interview. I'm really getting into this feminist ethics stuff.
